Happy Birthday Abby!!!!

So todays was Abbys Birthday Party hosted by her amazing mother Bec. Truly, this woman never ceases to amaze me when it comes to her talent for organizing partys of all sorts, and today she outdid herself again....

Abbys_bday_party1

She hand made these gorgeous little bags for each of the kids and filled them with goodies (and they weren't even the party favours!)

Abbys_bday_party0

She had them make thier own lollie bracelets (loved that idea....will definitely have to steal that one!). Tatiana was excited to get to hang out with Abbys cousin Charlette.

Catching Up.......

So, life get busier every years as we all know, and this year is shaping up to be no exception. We are only in Feb and already i have celebrated 4 family Birthdays (including my own). Jan - April are crazy around here for birthdays. We manage to cram every single family member (of mine AND Adams) into these 3 months, and believe me, we have alot of family! My SIL is due to her her little bub tomorrow....or Monday at the latest, so theres yet another one to add to all the craziness. And i haven't even yet recovered from Xmas! *Sigh* looks like there will be lots of hand-made gifts this year!

My birthday, however, was fantastic! The "Festival of Zina" as it is now been named in our family, (because i like to drag it out for as long as possible) was a great success. On my actual Bday Tash, Bec and I went out to lunch at a gorgeous little deli i only just discovered and had way to much YUMMY food.

And then afterward we had coffee at Starbucks (love their coffee). Bec spoiled me with a BEAUTIFUL WedgeWood tea-cup to start off my collection (i have been saying for awhile now that i want to start collecting tea-cups and saucers...all different ones). I dont have a photo yet, as i put it away until i get my shelves in the kitchen up . I would just die if it broke . And if i didnt die, Bec would surely kill me ;)

And yes....the painter is STILL not done.

Then tash took me out for dinner at Itoshin....my all time favourite japanese restaurant (possible just my fave place to eat in general), and we blissfully stuffed ourselves silly.

Img_1827

The next night Adam took me out for Dinner at Murasaki (hope i spelled that right) a new tepanyaki bar in Broadie with OMG some awesome food! Afterwards we went and saw that new Johnny Depp movie (the name escapes me right now). It was a musical, and you just have to wonder....is there anything that beautiful man cant do? Definitely worth seeing....unless you have a thing about blood. Its very bloody. But good.

So that was my idea of a perfect birthday. Good food, good friends, good movie, more good food.....and more good food again :)

And last week my cousin Hala come for a visit. She is such a beautiful soul and it was so go to catch up with her again. The kids just loved her, especially Kody.

Mum 'read' everyones coffee cup after breakfast and the Robyn read her Tarot cards...

Its been a busy weekend so far...

and we still have another 2 days of it left (long weekend). So Happy Australia day to everyone. Did you notice how they organised the sun to be out all day just for the occasion? Cause what would Aussie day be with out BBQ's by the beach and beer. But in saying that we did neither of those things to celebrate. Friday night we spent celebrating the beginning of the "Festival of Zina" (as nick-named by my dear sister)...which is like a standing joke about how my birthday celebrations go on for usually about a week. If your an aqaurian you'll probably get this. We did this by going out to dinner at a yummy Meditteranean Restaraunt called Pash's .

This is the best $$$$ i've spent in a long time! The portable DVD player....if you have kids, you need one of these!

They have a belly dancer that comes out and dose a pretty amazing performance. She even does a bit with a sword.

Img_1678
Img_1699

Then she got me up to try and do some dance moves with her. Not easy people, let me tell you! You think all you need to do is shake your hips, but theres really quite an art to it. Tatiana even got up with me and had a go too, which i loved watching her do. So cute.

This is me trying out my belly dancing technique (hahahahah)
Img_1703

After dinner Tash, Bec, George and I went for coffee. Then Bec and george went home and Tash and i stayed on for a few (ahem) drinks. We went to a place called Howl At The Moon where they always put on a god performance. They had some country western theme going and even did a pretty funny Drag Show number. Many a many Vodka's and tequilla later...we headed of to another club again.

And i got drunk.

Doesnt sound like a big deal, but anyone who knows me knows i never get drunk. Ask most of my friends if they have ever seen me drunk and they will most likely just laugh at the idea.

But i got drunk. And danced my butt off and stayed out till 5am. Bec will be sorry she missed seeing that....or not ;)

Heres some pics from the night. I look sober, but trust me, i'm not.

Suffice to say the heels didnt last long (i am just not a heel kinda gal, although i keep giving it a go. Luckily i had thongs in the car and yes Bec, i did go back and get them ;)

I was serious when i said we got home at 5am. This is us feeling tired yet amazingly NOT hungover the next morn.

Img_1730
Img_1731

We spent most of Australia Day lazing about which was bliss, before heading out for sushi and caffine.
Afterwards i met up with Adam and the kids and we went for a swim in mums pool (we were supposed to be having a BBQ at the beach, but it was just way to crowded) and then had a yummy dinner with everyone at my place (amidst all the kids furniture, which is still in the kitchen because the painter is still not finished).

Unfortunately this is the only pics i have from the rest of the day as my camera eventually died on me....

And thats my weekend so far. And it's not even over yet. Unfortunately, the rest of my weekend will not be as exciting as the beginning of it, lol. Hope your all having a good one!
