this is for bec.......

but feel free to try it our yourself. It is the Best Choc Chip Cookie Recipe (adapted by me).
And its good. And it makes about a million cookies so prepare to be baking for awhile. Or you can freeze half the batter for a rainy day.

1 & 3/4 stick butter
1 bag dark choc chips
4 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sugar
2 tsp bicarb soda
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
5 cups oatmeal
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (optional....i dont use them)
about 3/4 - 1 cup quick oats

Measure the oatmeal (not the quick oats) and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and using a wooden spoon, mix together with flour, blended oats, salt, baking powder and bicarb soda.
Add choc chips and quick oats and mix in.
Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a well greased baking tray.
Bake for 10 minutes at 180degrees
Cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes then eat warm with a glass of milk.....mmmmmmmm good.
Eat some more for breakkie the next day, and the next, and blame your kids for the 'missing' cookies.

xoxo
