It's been a crazy week of packing, sorting, fixing and cleaning...but we finally did it! Thanks to the help of my mum, dad and most of all my step-mum (who cleaned like a crazy woman for 3 days straight, brought food, brought coffee, and if that wasnt enough...she took my laundry home with her and brought it back all done!) Yes, i do know how lucky i am :)
OUr house is now ready to be sold. It is so freakin clean... really, i didnt even know it could look like this! But in saying that, i'm also in crazy mode now, following around every house member yelling "don't touch the walls!" "take your shoes off!" Dont use that soap!" Dont use those towels...they're for the open house!" "don't sit there, don't go in there, DONT take that out!" With 3 open house a week for 1 month, and 4 young kids...well, lets just say i'm gonna be a bit crazy for the next month. But it'll be worth it if we can sell our house.
Mind you, clean as it is... i already miss the clutter. We did all the right things when your trying to sell a house. We decluttered, taking most of our stuff to storage. We got rid of all the bookshelves, one couch, any extra furniture, and most of our personal bits and pieces. The house does look great for prospective byers, but i miss all the things that made t feel like a home. When we get the pics, i'll post a link if anyone wants to see. And Bec, you'd be AMAZED at the study! It's sad really that it took selling the house to finally get it done!
eta: see my house for sale here
Anywho...
So i ordered some cute prints for the house from this clever girl.I had hoped that i would have them in time for our open house. There not here yet, but i can't wait to get them!
Found this camera that i want to add to my Xmas list...
Want to try this cute tutorial... what a great Xmas pressie idea!
(pic from here)
And i LOVE these gorgeous cookie cutters! The Xmas ones are a great idea :)
Have a Happy Tuesday!

Ok, so i finished most of this project, but realised that, with a very demanding but amazingly cute baby, i just couldnt get it all done in the time i had planned. So i have broken it up into 2 parts, accordingly called CD tute part 1 and CD tute part 2.
In Part 1, we complete the CD and the CD cover, and in Part 2 we complete the booklet to go in the cover. I'm probably doing it backwards, but hey. I have always been a bit backwards, so really it just siuts my personality!
So let me start by explaining the story behind the Cd. This was originally meant to be a gift for Mr.A on our anniversary just past, but i just didnt get the time to do it. The thought was there, but not the opportunity. So i told him his pressie was on the way, and that he just had to be patient (and really, Mr.A is and always has been a very patient man. Afterall, he puts up with me. And i KNOW i can be hard to handle sometimes ;)
So i started this project by writing down all the song from this past year that meant something to me. It might be a song that we listend to together during a special moment, or a song that reminded me of him, or a song who's words resonated with me somehow. I chose about 17 songs, all with a specific reason, all from the past year (although when i say this i mean, the songs gained their importance to me in the past year, or had a memory from the past year attached to them. Some of the songs i chose are actually golden oldies from the past) and all to do with him and I. Thus the title 'A Year in Songs'. I'll go more into this in Part 2.
What we are going to do in Part 1 of this tute is create the album cover and decorate the CD.
Ok, so lets start with the CD...
Next, what you need to do is find an old CD cover made from paper or cardboard. You need to make sure it has a place fro your CD and a place to fit your booklet. You can either use this CD cover as a template to create your own new cover form decorative paper (as i did, only because i wanted to keep the cover to use again) or you can just re-cover it with cute paper. Your choice :)
Decorate you cover with writing and cute pictures of yourself, your kids, your pets...
WEll, thats all for my Tute.. Part 1.
Hope you enjoyed it (and by you, i mean the one person who visits my blog....mum? is that you? )
Part 2 will be posted next friday (mabey earlier, if i am super organised! ;)
Have a great weekend!

This is me, Bean and the Mr. resting on a picnic blanket in the afternoon sun. The bigger kids were hanging out with my parents having Pizza on the beach. It would have been nice to get a pic with all of us in it, but i'm not sure my arms are long enough for that, tee hee.
Notice how Bean's got a hold of my hair? Yep, he loves grabbing onto my hair, loves pulling it, even occasionally loves spitting up in it. Ahhh, the joys of motherhood ;)
Tomorrow i will be posting a DIY project i am hoping to finish up today. Heres a sneaky peaky..
I am challenging myself to tackle 1 DIY project a week from my ever growing list of projects i want to do. Thought it would be a good challenge leading up to Xmas (is it really only 6 weeks away ???!!!)
So i plan on posting my projects every Friday. Anyone got some DIY projects you'd like to share? I'd love some more ideas!

So I'm posting from my phone... Mathtildas markets were lots of fun. I bought heaps of cute little things for the kids. Afterward we had lunch and then walked into the city and did some shopping, before heading to borders where we chilled out for a bit and read some books. Tj was so good all day, I think he enjoyed hanging out too. I'll add some pics later.
Off to the Finders Keepers markets today!

Gorgeous, gorgeous jewelry. OMG, i want it all! I found this when reading this girls blog, and kinda wish i hadn't! Cause now im wondering whats more important, this weeks groceries or these delicious pieces...
You can even design your own pieces! It's like mix and match designer jewlelry :)
U can find more here at Stella & Dot.
So today the Mr. and I are heading to brissie for the weekend. A whole weekend away...just me, him and the bean :) On Sat we are heading to these markets
where i've already got my eye on some goodies, like theses from Kawii for U
Seroiusly, wouldn't these be the cutest end of year pressie for the kiddies teachers?
And shouldn't everyone write more letters?
Jellybean DEFINITELY needs one of these...even if he's not eating yet.
Then on Sunday, we'll be hitting these markets...
Anyway...have a Happy Weekend :) I know i sure will be! And hopefully i will return with lots of crafty, lovley goodies. If i'm really good i might even post some pics from my phone!
