The Mr. and i finally went up to pick up our shower railing today....yeah! We will finally be able to shower in our main bathroom :) Little by little our house is slowly (and i do mean slowly) coming together. On our way we stopped at the Woolongabba Antique Centre for a browse and some lunch. This is one of my very fave places to go. I could spend hours days in there just looking through all the vintage goodness. I was amazingly restrained though, as i spent all my money at the garage sales earlier that morning, and walked out of there with nothing. Wanting EVERYTHING, but bying nothing. Impressive, no?
(heres some pics of the centre)
They have a 50's style cafe there which is where we had lunch. I love the old style chairs and tables and booths. Even the waitresses were adorable! (that red-headed kid just wouldn't get out of my photo! >:P )
They even had a jazz trio called The Butter Brothers playing live in the store. It was so nice to hear them play while we relaxed and ate our lunch (well, that is as relaxed as one can be with a one year old in tow....and no pram)
Afterwards we stopped in for a quick visit to a friends house and then off to dinner with my dad, step mom and sister. Not a bad Saturday really :)
But now i'm off to bed to fall asleep watch a dvd with the Mr.
Sweet dreams!
