So every year i write down some new years resolutions, but by february, i'm pretty sure they're all just forgotten. I do also pick one word to be my word for the year, and that i think about constatly. My word last year was PATIENCE. I worked really hard on being patient all year, was always aware of it being my word> And isn't it funny, when you decide to work on something, life just seems to throw endless challenges your way to help you. "what...you want to work on patience you say? Well here, let me just test your patience in as MANY WAYS AS I CAN!" Yes, thankyou life.
So this year i have 2 words...
CREATE and LEARN
I want to really create things .
CREATE routine
LEARN good habits
CREATE memories (with my family)
CREATE art
LEARN new things
CREATE good habits
CREATE a healthy life
CREATE for my home (so many DIY projects i want to do)
LEARN how to DIY (home related projects)
LEARN how to use my computer better
LEARN about photoshop (gotta get it first though)
LEARN how to do more things on my blog
CREATE a better blog
Yes, i think they are good words..
CREATE and LEARN.
(this is what we are doing today...cause every post needs some pictures!)
Heres some resolutions i have as well...
Be a better blogger. Be better at documenting the things i want to remember, our daily life, moments, creativity, inspiration, our renovating journey.
Be more intentional about the things we do together as a family and what i am teaching my children.
Appreciate.
Cook more, try new things (i'm not so fond of cooking)
Create a better routine for my family.
Excercise daily.
Spend time on myself as well (i can be a real slob at times, i RARELY ever do my hair, wear makeup, paint my nails....or make any real effort with my appearance, really.) It would be nice to actually spend more than 5 minutes getting ready in the morning. Occasionally style my hair, or straighten it or something. Give myself a facial every once in awhile. Not wear my 'uniform' of denim shorts and a loose top and thongs EVERYDAY. It would make me FEEL NICE.
Get back on top of our finances.
Start selling my prints....seriously.
Spend more time with the ones i love (friends and family) and doing things i love.
